Whiskey Wreck Dive Report (Truly Amazing)

The only word that comes to my mind when I think about today’s dives on the Whiskey Wreck is, WOW! (Yes I said wow and The Whiskey Wreck in the same sentence.)
We had the feeling that today was going to be a good day. There wasn’t a wave on the beach and the viz was over 30’ (we measured with arm spans). On the way out we watched as a manta jumped out of the water near the wreck, combine that with 86 degree, oil free water and it was truly amazing. We did three 30min-40min dives and continued to find new uncovered structure on all three dives. The fish were out in full force, flounders, rays, skates, Atlantic spadefish, mangrove snappers, every species of blenny, and more. Welcome back, our beautiful Gulf.
