Sounds like beach diving is back in.

MOBILE COUNTY, Alabama - The State Health Department is allowing people to get back into the water.

“With the improving beach situation, the department feels that we can lift our swimming advisories,” Dr. Donald Williamson, state health officer, said. "The department will replace red swimming advisory signs with yellow signs that outline several precautions for beachgoers.”

But the department says it recognizes that just because you can't see oil in the water, it doesn't mean oil is not there. So swimmers will have to decide for themsleves whether they feel comfortable getting into the water.

If there is visible oil, the health department encourages people to stay out of the water.
