PADI SEAL TEAM Kids Summer Camps with Coach Lila


The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions. Divers are introduced to underwater photography, navigation, environmental awareness and more.




Get your whole family involved in scuba diving so you can share extraordinary memories together and take your vacations to new depths. Check out PADI’s youth camps below for children starting as young as eight years old.

 The PADI Seal Team is for young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions. Divers are introduced to underwater photography, navigation, environmental awareness and more.
Prerequisites: 
1. Children must be comfortable in the water. 
2. Parents must be present to sign required paperwork before camp begins. 

 PLEASE arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to sign paperwork.

All camps will run at the listed times with a mid week snorkel trip on Wed.or Thurs. (8am to 10am depending on weather and conditions)
Parents may join the snorkel trip for $35 + rental gear. If weather prevents any day of the camp, it will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Underwater photographs will be offered for purchase, with a signed release.

All camps include the PADI “crew pack” (materials), a completion certificate, activity book; log book, and a Seal Team decal and badge. All equipment will be provided to including mask, snorkel, fins, tank, BC, and regulator.
Campers may purchase a mask, snorkel, & fin package at a reduced rate from Down Under Dive Shop with the help of our professional staff.

Seal Team members can participate in Master Seal Team or become a certified Junior Open Water Diver (Only age 10 and up) for additional cost. Information will be provided on the first day of camp.

  • You must register by Sunday, no later than 3:00 pm, before the first day of camp.
  • Paperwork may be emailed prior to camp and brought in completed form on the first day of camp.
  •  Please review and fill out the PADI SEAL TEAM STATEMENT DOCUMENTATION.
  • If your child has any medical conditions such as asthma, ear/sinus problems, diabetes, heart conditions or takes ANY prescriptions, please contact instructor, as they will not be able to participate with a doctor's approval. 
  • All camps will now be Tuesday-Thursday.
  • All snorkel trips will be 8-10 am
  • If weather interferes with any day of camp, the make-up day will be on Saturday. In most cases, we try to wait out a storm.

    Here are the hard and fast regulations that we must follow as gas blenders and safe divers.   No cylinders will be overfilled more than 10% period. Here are the facts.      Sidemount diving enables a unique way of buoyancy control resulting in a more streamlined profile that reduces drag making finning and moving through the water easier and more efficient. Offers a greater comfort level as sidemount equipment and harness can be custom fit to each individual, accommodating divers of all shapes and sizes. Great for divers with any disabilities, as you carry the cylinder(s) separate from your harness to the water. Whilst within the water you would then attach your cylinders and weights, making the entries and exits to dive sites much easier.     Dive The Historical Whiskey Wreck with Down Under Dive Shop

      The Whiskey Wreck is a shore dive from Gulf Shores located roughly 150 yards due south of the beach and Bahama Bob’s Café. It lays just beyond a sandbar offshore, and that sandbar provides a useful landmark and staging area. The wreck is a 200-foot rum runner boat in less than 20 feet of water. That depth is shallow enough for snorkelers, non-divers on a Discover Scuba Dive, and Open Water divers alike to enjoy the wreck.
